HES Penny Drive…Continues This Week!
PENNY DRIVE: January 17th - January 27th!!
The Hillendale Annual Penny Drive started on Tuesday, January 17th and will run until Friday, January 27. This is the PTO's two-week fundraiser for next year's Bagged Lunch Program and other community outreach activities.
All of our K-5 students can participate in the fundraiser by bringing in pennies and other pocket change (as well as bills) to school, which is then collected in cans and counted everyday by a 3rd-5th grade math class. The top three contributing classes of the previous day's totals will be broadcast with the morning announcements on HETV. The children always look forward to hearing if their class "won" that day.
So, if you have any loose change rolling around in your drawers, on counters, under sofa cushions, or in the car, please send it in with your child. All coins and bills are accepted. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and inspires our children to help those in our community who are in need.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Sara Liberace at hillendaletreasurer@gmail.com
