UThon Event Taking Place at Unionville High School

Message from Sophie Wilks, High School Senior at UHS:

Last year, a group of eight students and I started a tradition at Unionville, called UThon. Modeled after Penn State's famous THON, UThon is a six-hour dance and dodgeball event that we hosted to raise money for Four Diamonds, a non-profit organization dedicated to researching cures for pediatric cancer and alleviating the financial burdens that families of children with cancer face. Last year, our event raised over $14,000, and we are hoping to enjoy similar success this year!

To ensure this, the UThon Committee and I wanted to invite elementary- and middle-schoolers and their parents to take part in this special event. We would love for the younger students to come and cheer for our dodgeball teams, play games, and make cards for children with cancer.

UThon will take place on Saturday, March 25th, and elementary and middle school students and their parents are welcome from 3:30pm until 5:30pm. $5 per person is the cost for registration (all proceeds go directly to Four Diamonds). Donations are also appreciated.
